The office of the governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike on Friday, October 6, confirmed the resignation of Opunabo Inko-Tariahthe special adviser, media and publicity to the state governor Nyesom Wike. An aide to the governor, Simeon Nwakaudu told Naij.com that Inko-Tariah tendered his resignation today as earlier confirmed by the media aide himself. Nwakaudu said:“Yes, it is confirmed he resigned; I just got to the office and I was told that he dropped in a letter.” The former media aide had accused the Wike of starving him funds for running his publicity office. Inko-Tariah, an ally of immediate past governor, Chibuike Amaechi, before joining the political camp of Governor Wike said he worked under intense pressure as the governor’s media aide.
